Position Title: Assembler

Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 4:30AM - 2:30PM (Monday - Thursday)

Assembler Responsibilities

  • Fit, align, assemble, and fasten sheet metal parts, motors, electronics, molded parts, and sub‑assemblies into completed units, including making necessary electrical connections
  • Visually inspect assemblies for fit, function, and surface defects
  • Troubleshoot non‑conforming units by repairing, reworking, or partially disassembling as needed
  • Test units for electrical continuity, proper operation, and overall functionality
  • Package completed units into corrugated containers with appropriate packing materials
  • Label containers with required information such as type, style, color, and model number
  • Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, process sheets, standard work, and instructions to perform consistent, safe, and efficient assembly operations
  • Use required hand tools, air‑powered tools, measuring instruments, and gauges
  • Ensure final assemblies meet quality standards and are available for further inspection; follow special instructions for non‑standard units
  • Participate in workplace organization practices and continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices

Requirements for Assembler

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to safely lift up to 15 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to reach as required to perform job tasks
  • Ability to work from assembly drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and standard work instructions
  • Ability to learn to operate and make routine adjustments to various machines and equipment
  • Willingness and ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime as needed
