Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assembly Technician role based in San Fernando, CA. The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Daily tasks include using hand and power tools, performing basic soldering where required, inspecting parts for defects, and verifying that assemblies meet quality and safety standards. The role involves reading and interpreting technical documentation, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and accurately recording production and inspection data. The Assembly Technician collaborates with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, support continuous improvement activities, and meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for precise and safe assembly work.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, including reading work instructions and assembly drawings.
  • Basic soldering skills for electrical or mechanical connections, as required by the product.
  • Knowledge of quality control practices, including visual inspection, measurement, and documentation of results.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanics is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, handle small parts, and follow safety and PPE requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow standardized procedures consistently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a production team environment.
