Job Summary
We are searching for sharp, growth-minded CNC Machinists to join a rapidly expanding aerospace and defense manufacturer in the Cincinnati area. We do not run standard, high-volume small parts. We build mission-critical components on a massive scale.
Your day-to-day will primarily focus on setting up and operating high-end production mills and lathes, including 3- and 4-axis DMG Moris, Mori Seikis, and Doosan lathes with live tooling. Because we work with unique weldments, castings, and advanced materials, every job requires critical thinking.
Our Culture
We do not expect you to walk through the doors on day one knowing how to run every piece of equipment on our floor. We have highly specific products and proprietary processes. What we truly care about is your mindset. We are looking for highly trainable, coachable problem solvers who have a great attitude. If you have a rock-solid foundation in machining fundamentals and aren't intimidated by seeing a blueprint or a machine you haven't tackled before, we will actively invest in training you.
Why Join Us?
Invested in Your Growth: We love hiring adaptable job-shop machinists who are eager to expand their skills. We offer a guaranteed 60-day review with a functionally guaranteed pay bump for great performance.
Master Complex Scale: You'll gain invaluable experience working on medium-to-large format parts for top-tier defense and aerospace programs.
The Best Shop Floor in Town: We operate a highly technical, climate-controlled environment. Mastering the work here will help you become an elite machinist.
Compensation
$27 - $40 / hr
Unlimited optional overtime
Guaranteed 60-day review
Shift Options
1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM
Responsibilities:
Setup & Operation: Independently set up and run production mills, horizontal lathes, and 3- or 4-axis machining centers (including DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Makino, and Doosan equipment).
Controls & Programming: Fluently navigate FANUC controls. Read G-code, catch programming errors, make offsets, and perform your own prove-outs on parts before running them.
Complex Blueprints: Read and interpret complex, multi-view engineering blueprints, cut/section views, and strict GD&T tolerances to establish your datums.
Adaptability: Approach specialized fabricated weldments and castings with a problem-solving mindset, as these parts often require unique setups compared to standard raw metal stock.
Scale & Handling: Safely handle, rig, and machine medium-to-large format parts.
Continuous Improvement: Bring a positive, coachable attitude to the floor. Work closely with senior machinists to learn advanced techniques and cross-train on new equipment.
