We are committed to developing the most reliable buses that connect communities, eliminates congestion, and contributes to a greener environment. Our engineers are engaged in designing, analyzing, testing, launching, and problem solving across a wide range of technical areas.

GILLIG's Colorado Technical Center (CTC) is an engineering hub dedicated to advancing innovative technologies for GILLIG products. CTC Electrical Engineering Systems performs research and development on communication, low voltage, and high voltage architecture for GILLIG’s future products. Located in Loveland, Colorado, the CTC division plays a pivotal role in pioneering advancements in electric transportation." The CTC was created in early 2024 and is focused on developing the next generation ZEV powertrains and Advanced Engineering projects for the broader GILLIG enterprise.

The Electrical Electronic (E/E) Systems Engineering in the Powertrain and Control Systems group within the CTC is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing E/E systems and components including low high voltage power distribution, CAN bus network topology variation, powertrain/body component electrical system architecture and integration to ensure proper functionality, safety, durability, and performance. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory standards, trouble-shoot issues, and ensure cost-effective and efficient designs tailored to the needs of heavy-duty transit buses.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced E/E Systems Engineering Manager who is responsible for overseeing a team of about 5 engineers to ensure and guide engineering design, problem resolution, and other duties related to the design and manufacturing of parts and sub-systems. This role involves direct influence on the overall design, development, and integration of systems for both existing and new projects. Key responsibilities include creating schematics for E/E component integration, high/low voltage communication network designs, selecting E/E components, developing scripts for consistency checks, and performing safety and failure analysis. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with controls engineers, develop troubleshooting guidelines, and track key performance indicators of the E/E architecture.

This is a hands-on, on-site role at our CTC facility in Loveland, CO and reports to the Director of Powertrain and Control Systems.
