Role Description The Senior Care Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Chapin, SC, providing direct in-home support to seniors in the local community. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with personal care needs, supporting mobility, and helping clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The role also involves monitoring client well-being, following care plans, documenting observations, and communicating changes or concerns to supervisors and family members. The Senior Care Professional builds trusting relationships with clients, offers companionship, and encourages independence while maintaining safety, dignity, and respect. Team members may collaborate with healthcare providers and office staff to coordinate schedules, ensure quality care, and respond promptly to family inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with seniors and their families.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy, with a commitment to preserving client dignity and promoting independence.
  • Experience with personal care and activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance).
  • Ability to perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and basic home safety checks to support a clean, secure environment.
  • Reliable time management and organizational skills, including accurate documentation and adherence to care plans.
  • Capability to respond calmly to changing health or behavioral needs and follow appropriate safety and emergency procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certifications such as CNA, HHA, or related senior care training are preferred.
  • Previous experience in home care, senior care, or a caregiving setting is highly beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work flexible hours as required.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting, assisting with transfers, and extended periods of standing or walking.
