Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students.
- Provide engaging instruction through one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning requirements.
- Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven approaches.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in line with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
- Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and effective classroom management techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Endorsement.
- LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development and execution.
- Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
