Bilingual Special Education Instructor

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students.
• Provide engaging instruction through one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning requirements.
• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Maintain thorough records and documentation in line with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
• Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and effective classroom management techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Endorsement.
• LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement is necessary.
• Demonstrated experience with IEP development and execution.
• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
