Responsibilities for Food Line Worker:

• The critical duties and responsibilities of the position can vary by Aramark site, tailoring the job requirements to the specific client expectations and operational needs.
• Culinary professionals prepare and cook a selection of foods based on production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Establishes the work area with all the needed tools and ingredients
• Engages in measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling of food items to prepare them for cooking
• Ensuring the safe use of a variety of utensils, including knives, is paramount
• Manages tools such as ovens, stovetops, cutting appliances, blenders, and similar items.
• Applies various cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare a wide array of ingredients like meat and vegetables
• Orders, embellishes, and allocates food as per established rules
• Stores food in accordance with food safety regulations and procedures
• Cleans and sterilizes work environments, equipment, and tools
• Keeps up a strong focus on customer service excellence and displays a welcoming attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and coworkers.
• Ensures strict adherence to Aramark's safety policies and procedures, particularly regarding precise food safety and sanitation standards
• Preserves the confidentiality of company belongings

Qualifications for Food Line Worker:

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• physical demands includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing.
