Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required.
  • Four or more years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (client requires 4+ years).
  • Familiarity with OBI: kV, MV, and CBCT imaging.
  • Experience with VMAT, 3D treatments, SRS, SBRT, and emergency treatments (for examples: SVC syndrome, whole brain, spinal cord compression).
  • BCLS certification.
  • Experience with Mosaiq and Meditech documentation systems preferred.
  • Experience with TrueBeam and Varian iX linear accelerators preferred.
  • Preferred: OSMS experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior TrueBeam Linac experience.
  • Prior experience working in a cancer center or large hospital setting.

Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday.
  • Documentation systems used: Mosaiq and Meditech.
  • Equipment on unit: TrueBeam and iX linear accelerators.

Impacting Patient Care

As a Radiation Therapist in this unit you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment. You will accurately position patients and ensure immobilization during treatment. You will verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and document treatments to maintain accurate patient records. You will support treatments including VMAT, 3D, SRS, SBRT and emergency interventions.
