Role and Responsibilities:
In the role of Cashier Supervisor at Lowe’s, you will lead the Front End team to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, creating a positive shopping atmosphere. You will demonstrate outstanding customer service while supporting store safety and operational standards.
- Supervise and assist customers at multiple assisted self-checkout stations.
- Warmly greet customers, offer product and service recommendations, and ensure smooth checkout flow.
- Provide SMART customer service by following Lowe’s policies and procedures.
- Assist customers in locating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise as needed.
- Address questions from customers and team members, and support project-related activities.
- Lead, mentor, and support Front End and Loader team members.
- Process sales transactions, returns, refunds, and handle cash responsibly.
- Open additional registers to maintain adequate coverage and reduce wait times.
- Inspect returned items for damages and manage both online and customer orders.
- Support price verification, product lookups, and inventory management.
- Monitor store entrances and exits, respond to security alerts, and assist in theft prevention.
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards across the store and work areas.
- Operate store equipment including Zebra phones, registers, CCTV, and paint mixers.
- Adhere to safety guidelines such as top stock safety, aisle blockers, and use of powered equipment with tether lines.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Less than one year of experience with computer data entry or information access.
- Under one year of experience utilizing retail technology such as smartphones or tablets.
- One to two years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in product identification and sales, including handling credit card payments, installations, and protection plans.
- One to two years experience as a head cashier.
- One to two years of experience in various Lowe’s store departments.
- One to two years of supervisory experience, including coaching, delegating, evaluating, and training staff.
- Under one year of experience recognizing shoplifting behaviors such as concealed items or altered price tags.
