Role and Responsibilities of Diesel Mechanic:

This role will be responsible for maintaining UPS's fleet of vehicles, which includes troubleshooting various vehicle systems:

  • Ensuring compliance with D.O.T. requirements.
  • Physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.
  • Driving vehicles with both standard and manual transmissions.
  • Using pneumatic tools and power tools effectively to complete maintenance tasks.

Required Skills and Experience of Diesel Mechanic:

  • Active state-issued driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including Monday-Friday, Sunday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Saturday.
  • Possess the necessary hand tools to perform maintenance duties.

  • Experience in automotive mechanical work.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and computers.
  • Class A/B CDL preferred.
  • Reliability and punctuality in work performance.
