Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager to lead the end-to-end financial accounting, internal and external reporting, and compliance function for a dynamic, high-growth Health Care organization. This is a critical leadership role that goes beyond traditional bookkeeping — you will drive financial integrity, optimize reporting processes with automation and analytics, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. In an era of evolving standards (IFRS, US GAAP), you will modernize our reporting framework to deliver real-time insights, reduce risk, and support scalable growth.
Compensation: $140k to $170k
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Close Process: Own the full financial close cycle with efficiency and precision. Ensure timely, accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and statement of equity) in full compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or relevant local standards.
- External and Internal Financial Reporting: Prepare and review high-quality financial reports for external stakeholders and internal leadership. Develop executive-level dashboards and presentations that translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Financial Controls and Compliance: Design, implement, and continuously strengthen internal controls over financial reporting. Lead coordination with external auditors and tax teams on all matters related to internal controls framework, ensuring full compliance and clean audits.
- Technical Accounting Expertise: Research, interpret, and apply new accounting standards and updates to complex transactions, Consolidations, revenue recognition etc. and provide clear technical memos and policy recommendations to the CFO and leadership team.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of accounting professionals (accountants, RTR /P2P team, and specialists). Foster a culture of continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and professional growth.
- Process Transformation & Automation: Drive digital transformation initiatives by optimizing financial systems (Micro Soft Dynamic NAV, Hyperion) and leading the adoption of RPA, AI-powered reporting tools, and data analytics platforms to eliminate manual processes, improve accuracy, and accelerate reporting timelines
- Integrated Reporting: Champion the integration of metrics into financial reporting frameworks, ensuring compliance
- Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A Partnership: Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to align accounting data with forward-looking forecasts, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
- Risk Management & Special Projects: Proactively identify financial risks, support due diligence for financing, acquisitions, and lead ad-hoc projects that enhance financial visibility and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a publicly traded or high-growth private company environment or a CPA firm, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Deep technical expertise in US GAAP and/or IFRS, with proven track record applying these standards in a complex business environment (e.g., with challenges such as variable revenue recognition models or multi-entity consolidations).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced reporting tools /Power BI
- Demonstrated success in leading process automation, system implementations, and compliance programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to explain complex accounting concepts clearly to non-financial executives and board members.
