Location: Huntington, NY

Schedule: 9:00am- 5:30pm

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Neuro Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will support neurological diagnostic testing and clinical services for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with clinicians while contributing to accurate diagnoses and improved neurological outcomes for a geriatric population.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests

Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards

Monitor patients during procedures and report any significant findings or concerns to the supervising clinician

Ensure proper setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of neurodiagnostic equipment

Accurately document test results, observations, and patient responses in the medical record

Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies

Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support high-quality patient care

Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training preferred

Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent) preferred

Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing strongly preferred

Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working with the geriatric population

Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed
