Protective Security Specialist/Paramedic

Join our team as a Protective Security Specialist/Paramedic, where you will play a crucial role in providing protection and emergency medical care in high-threat environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the Department of State Worldwide Protective Services III in austere settings, ensuring safety and effective medical response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel, COM personnel, and others as directed, including invasive and pharmacological interventions.
• Perform personal protective security functions; drive vehicles and take on response roles during motorcade operations.
• Maintain protective formation positions during the principal's movements and participate in advance security preparations.
• Staff security posts as required at various locations, including the principal's residence or command posts.

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with active or inactive National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as a paramedic.
• Current CPR certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) credentials are required.
• At least three years of pre-hospital emergency medical services experience at the AEMT or paramedic level is necessary.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and U.S. Passport with at least six months remaining before expiration.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass the pre-employment Physical Readiness Test.
• Physical capability to perform essential job duties, including carrying heavy equipment, maneuvering in and out of vehicles, and maintaining fitness for operational readiness.
• Eligible for a Department of State Medical Clearance and able to travel long distances in various transportation modes.
