Bartender/Server

Country Club of the North is seeking a polished, dependable, and service-focused Bartender/Server to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in the details, and understands the importance of creating a consistently excellent experience for members and guests.

Our best team members are warm, professional, attentive, and able to stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Because CCN is a private club, this role is built around relationship-based service. The right candidate will enjoy learning member preferences, communicating clearly, supporting teammates, and representing the Club with professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional food and beverage service to members and guests
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Club standards
• Answer questions about menu items, cocktails, wine, beer, and daily features
• Offer thoughtful recommendations when appropriate
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through the point-of-sale system
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of the bar, dining areas, and event spaces
• Follow all opening, closing, side-work, and sanitation procedures
• Support member dining, private events, banquets, golf outings, and Club functions
• Help create a welcoming, polished, and consistent member experience
• Recognize and communicate member or guest concerns to management
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods and events
• Follow all Ohio alcohol service laws and Club policies
• Verify age requirements and ensure alcoholic beverages are not served to anyone under 21
• Monitor alcohol consumption and use sound judgment in accordance with Ohio law
• Complete other duties as assigned by management

Ideal qualifications:

• Previous serving or bartending experience
• Private club, upscale restaurant, hotel, banquet, or event experience is a plus
• Professional appearance and communication style
• Reliable, punctual, and prepared for scheduled shifts
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient during busy service periods
• Comfortable interacting with members, guests, and coworkers in a professional manner
• Willingness to learn member preferences, Club standards, and service expectations
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
• Must be 21 years of age or older for bartending responsibilities
