Part-Time Family Services Social Worker

Schedule: Part-Time (24–28 hours per week)

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Family Services Social Worker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This part-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, birth parents, and adoptive families by providing professional social work services and ongoing support throughout the adoption journey.

Position Summary

The Family Services Social Worker provides comprehensive social work services to birth parents and adoptive families while collaborating with community agencies and service providers to meet each client's unique needs. This role is focused on promoting safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children through advocacy, education, counseling, and case management.

A key responsibility of this position is providing compassionate pregnancy support services to expectant parents, empowering them with information, resources, and guidance as they make the best decisions for themselves and their child.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional social work services to birth parents and adoptive families.
• Offer pregnancy support, counseling, education, and resource coordination to expectant parents.
• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and develop individualized service plans.
• Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other agencies to coordinate services.
• Advocate for the safety, stability, and well-being of children and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional social work standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related human services field (preferred).
• Wisconsin social work licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with families and community partners.
• Experience in adoption, family services, pregnancy support, or child welfare is preferred but not required.
