**Overview:**
The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) is seeking a talented and dedicated teacher to join our pool of Extensive Support Needs Special Education Teachers (Moderate/Severe) for the 2026-27 school year. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with extensive support needs, providing innovative and effective educational experiences that promote student achievement and success. **Responsibilities:**
- Teach students with moderate to severe special needs in a variety of settings, including general education classrooms and specialized classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including IEPs, progress reports, and other documentation
- *Qualifications:**
- Valid California Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) teaching credential or ability to secure a California credential
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe special needs preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
