Overview
FINDING PEOPLE FOR JOBS, AND JOBS FOR PEOPLE.
As a Staffing Consultant, you will find, interview, and qualify job seekers for temporary/contract roles with companies and organizations in your local market. This is a full-cycle recruiting role. From sourcing to placement, you will run the entire recruiting process. You will spend your time engaging in conversations with job seekers via phone, email, or in-person, and you will coach them throughout the job search process, including resume editing tips, interview pointers, post-interview breakdowns, and accepting a new position. You will also spend time meeting with your team to discuss open positions, posting advertisements, and learning to utilize online sourcing tools and resources.
This is a relationship-focused sales position; the harder you work, the more results you will see. Every day you come in ready to hold yourself accountable to your goals and build your book of business.
Responsibilities
- Identify prospective candidates via job board search tools, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and professional networking
- Interview prospective candidates
- Prepare candidates for interviews with client companies — review resumes, discuss client needs, conduct mock interviews
- Deliver good news — extend job offers and manage the offer process for candidates
- Reach out to candidates who are on assignment to ensure they have what they need
- Proactively cold call to identify prospective candidates and build a foundation for success
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; the core of the day is spent communicating and listening
- A love for working with people
- A high degree of self-motivation and tenacity
- Leadership skills and a competitive drive
- Discretion and independent judgment about businesses and people to meet client needs
- Strong drive to meet goals and metrics
