The Electrical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting electrical projects and operations. This position involves assisting Lead Electricians and Electrical Foremen by contributing to the successful completion of solar projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with crew members in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Collaborate with crew members in identifying and troubleshooting electrical issues, contributing to effective problem-solving.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practice.
- Perform wiring installation and connection tasks.
- Proficiently bend PVC and EMT conduits.
- Skillfully fish wires through residential structures.
- Expertise in the installation of breakers, breaker panels, and taps.
- Execute the running of metal conduits in attics.
Qualifications
- Electrical Helper/Electrical Apprentice Experience: 2+ year (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- Work Authorization (Required)
- Solar Electrical: 1 year (Preferred, Not Required)
Required Skills and Abilities
- Emphasis on Customer Satisfaction
- Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices.
- Familiarity with basic electrical concepts and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety consciousness.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of electrical experience is required.
- Knowledge of solar products is preferred.
