Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Clinical Instructor faculty position in the Dental Hygiene Program. This is a nine-month position, active from mid-August through mid-May.
Essential Functions
Faculty responsibilities include instruction in laboratory and clinical settings (performing dental hygiene duties). Other responsibilities include professional/scholarly activities related to the profession (such as membership or leadership in the Dental Hygiene Association, professional presentations on pedagogy and/or dentistry, and publications in professional journals), as well as department, college, university, and community service.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor’s Degree in health, education, or another applicable field.
- An Ohio Dental Hygiene License or eligibility for an Ohio Dental Hygiene License as defined by the Ohio State Dental Board.
- An Ohio local anesthesia certificate or eligibility for an Ohio local anesthesia certificate.
- One (1) academic year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program within the past five (5) years. Teaching experience should include instruction in a didactic, laboratory, or clinical setting.
- Two (2) years of clinical practice experience as a dental hygienist.
