Armed Security Officer

Duties:

• The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations. ------Walk assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property
• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity
• Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
• Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, or criminal incidents
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any potential security risks or hazards
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or observations
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed
• Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, uniforms, and devices, etc.
• Consistently communicates with the Advanced Patrol Officer and or the Branch Patrol Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.

Experience:

• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Previous experience as an Armed Security Officer, Police Officer, or Military Police experience.
