Painter/Carpenter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential, commercial, , with a strong understanding of surface preparation, spray techniques, and safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restoration to new construction, utilizing a variety of hand tools and power equipment. The Painter will play a vital role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, caulking, plastering, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint using various methods including conventional brushes, rollers, spray guns (airless and construction spray painting), and other tools
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute projects according to specifications
• Select appropriate paints and coatings based on color theory, project requirements, and environmental conditions
• Perform surface repairs such as stucco application, masonry work, drywall finishing, and fixture installation as needed
• Follow safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to OSHA standards during all phases of work
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and quality standards

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments
• Skilled in construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, welding, and masonry is preferred
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and renovation projects is advantageous
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting surfaces preparation and spray painting techniques
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates
• Experience with restoration projects or remodeling is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching through visual color comparison techniques
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
