We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (SPM) to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of our Digital web platforms. We're looking to bring on a strategic, mobile first thinker with a bias for action.
This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, and customer experience, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle—from vision and roadmap through delivery and continuous improvement. The SPM will translate business and customer needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experiences across web channels.
This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule, working from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the eCommerce platform (browse, cart, checkout, payments, post-enrollment)
Balance customer experience, business goals, and technical feasibility in prioritization decisions
Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve conversion and retention
Customer Experience & Features
Work closely with the stakeholders to design and evolve key customer journeys across the web:
Search and discovery
Quote and conversion
Checkout and payment
Account management
Insurance claim submission
Product Ownership
Work with business and technology leaders to capture business requirements. Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Partner with engineering to make informed trade-offs on architecture, scalability, and performance
Manage integrations across systems (payments, identity, CRM, third-party services, other internal systems)
Ensure reliability, security, and compliance of account and transaction flows
Execution & Delivery
Lead cross-functional collaboration across UX, engineering, QA, marketing, and operations
Work with business leaders to prioritize the backlog
Accountable for backlog, sprint planning, and for all team ceremonies
Deliver features on time with high quality and measurable outcomes
Data, Metrics & Optimization
Define and track key business KPIs, and prioritize and drive improvements
Ongoing support of delivered features with continuous optimizations and improvement of quality metrics
Partner with growth and retention teams to support experimentation (A/B testing) and analytics to drive continuous improvement
Monitor product performance and identify areas for optimization and generate reports to stakeholders
Stakeholder Management
Align stakeholders across business and technology teams
Communicate roadmap, priorities, and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders
Act as the voice of the customer and the business within technology teams
Partner with Engineering and IT leadership on team health, velocity, quality and performance metrics
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of demonstrated product management experience in a fast-paced technology industry
Experience working in highly regulated technology industries
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with customer identity platforms (OAuth, SSO, CIAM)
Experience delivering eCommerce or marketplace platforms
Experience with SOX Compliance
Strong analytical skills with SQL, analytics tools, or experimentation platforms
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business concepts into clear functional and non-functional requirements
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and communication.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical partners.
Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and system integrations as well as identity and account management systems and payment processing and checkout flows
Deep experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Background in subscription models or recurring billing
Experience with native mobile development environments (Swift, Kotlin) or close collaboration with mobile engineering teams
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000, on a full-time schedule.
Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
