Location: Richmond, VA

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM start; 8–10 hrs./day + 1 Sat/month)

Pay Rate: $22.00 to $24.00/ Hour (Depending on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Overhead Crane Operator / Material Handler to support our yard and shop operations. This role involves safely operating material handling equipment, moving steel products, and assisting with daily yard activities. Training is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to move materials safely and efficiently
• Operate Pettibone equipment to transport and position steel throughout the yard
• Load and unload trailers
• Jockey trailers within the yard as needed
• Support general yard and shop operations
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and teamwork

Qualifications

• Experience operating overhead cranes, Pettibones, forklifts, or other material handling equipment preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Willingness to learn and be trained on equipment and processes

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay of $22.00/hour or higher, depending on experience
