Patient Care Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) assists with patient care throughout the perioperative services unit. The PCA is responsible for completion of delegated tasks within the scope of the PCA such as pre-op/PACU bay and operating room turnover, gathering and storage of surgical equipment/supplies, transport of instrumentation, and appropriate documentation of services provided. The PCA may perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Training for all delegated tasks will be completed and validated prior to completion of tasks.
