Floater Security Officer (Overnight)

Floater Security Officer

Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Schedule: 3–5 nights per week

Pay: $17.25 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and professional Floater Security Officers to join our overnight team. As a Floater Officer, you will be assigned to various client locations as needed to provide security coverage. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different work environments while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned properties and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report incidents promptly.
• Control access to buildings and authorized areas.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Follow all post orders and company policies.
• Report to assigned locations on time and ready to work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
• Must have completed the required 20-hour Basic Security Officer Training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid government-issued photo ID or driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation verifying identity and employment eligibility.
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned work locations.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work overnight shifts in various weather conditions when required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
