Kingsky Flight Academy is headquartered in beautiful Lakeland, Florida. With more than 60 years of experience, we are owned and operated by seasoned airline captains and provide professional flight training in one of the nation's premier flying environments.

Through partnerships with four major colleges and our work training U.S. Air Force JROTC cadets, we combine academic excellence with real-world aviation experience while preparing the next generation of professional pilots.

We are looking for an organized, customer-focused Dispatcher to join our Operations team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in logistics, transportation, operations coordination, customer service, hospitality, or other fast-paced environments where priorities change throughout the day.

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Operations are staffed 7 days per week between 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM
  • Regular schedule includes one weekday and one weekend day off
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Scheduling flexibility is required. While you will typically work a consistent shift, business needs may occasionally require schedule adjustments or coverage of an alternate shift with reasonable notice.

Compensation

  • $19.00/hour during introductory period
  • $20.00/hour upon successful completion of the introductory period

What You'll Do

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students, flight instructors, visitors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate and maintain daily flight training schedules.
  • Monitor daily flight activity and adjust schedules in response to weather, maintenance, or operational changes.
  • Communicate schedule updates and operational changes to students and instructors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with Scheduling, Maintenance, Admissions, Billing, Flight Standards, and other departments to support efficient operations.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, greet visitors, and assist with general front office responsibilities.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain operational records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and dispatch area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, logistics, dispatching, operations coordination, hospitality, transportation, or a similar fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to remain calm and adapt quickly when priorities change
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Preferred

  • Aviation operations or flight dispatch experience
  • Portuguese language skills
  • Spanish language skills

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer or workstation.

  • Frequently communicate with others in person, by telephone, and electronically.
  • Read information on computer screens and printed documents.
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, or reach to retrieve office materials.

Work Environment

This position is performed primarily in a professional office environment. The work environment is generally quiet to moderately busy, with frequent interaction with students, instructors, and staff in a fast-paced operational setting.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
