About the Role: The GB Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within the shipping and receiving department. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, products, and equipment throughout the warehouse and shipping areas. The role requires close coordination with shipping and receiving teams to maintain accurate inventory records and support timely order fulfillment. Attention to safety protocols and equipment maintenance is essential to prevent accidents and ensure operational continuity. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth flow of goods, supporting overall supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications: - Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by OSHA standards. - Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment. - Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently. - Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software. - Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role. - Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices for warehouse safety. - Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors. - Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if necessary. Responsibilities: - Operate forklifts to load and unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently. - Transport materials and products to designated storage or staging areas within the warehouse. - Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. - Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying shipment contents and updating records. - Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to coordinate timely movement of goods and resolve any discrepancies. - Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. - Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning, organizing, and supporting other team members as needed.
