Job Summary
MP Engineers + Architects is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead and administer the Project-Specific Quality Control (QC) Program for construction projects. The QCM will serve as the Contractor's dedicated, full-time, on-site authority responsible for ensuring all construction activities comply with contract requirements, project specifications, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
The successful candidate will have independent authority to oversee all quality-related activities, implement corrective actions, issue stop-work orders when necessary, and ensure delivery of a safe, compliant, and high-quality project.
Key Responsibilitie
- sDevelop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Project-Specific Quality Control (QC) Program
- .Ensure all construction work complies with contract documents, specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards
- .Serve as the primary Quality Control representative on-site with authority to stop work when quality or compliance issues arise
- .Plan, coordinate, and oversee all quality inspections, testing, verification activities, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- .Coordinate quality activities with project management, subcontractors, suppliers, fabricators, testing laboratories, and the Owner
- .Monitor procurement activities to verify materials and equipment comply with project specifications before installation
- .Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), hold points, witness points, and quality verification activities
- .Review and maintain quality records, inspection reports, material certifications, testing documentation, RFIs, submittals, and as-built records
- .Identify, document, and resolve non-conforming work through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- .Conduct root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent recurring quality deficiencies
- .Maintain document control processes to ensure only current approved documents are used during construction
- .Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to project leadership and the Owner
- .Lead QA/QC meetings and communicate quality performance, issues, and improvement initiatives
- .Verify subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements
- .Ensure all quality records are complete, organized, and available for audits and project closeout
- .Support project commissioning, final inspections, punch list completion, and project turnover activities
- .Promote continuous improvement and foster a culture of quality across the project team
