Responsibilities
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Operate steam sterilizers, low-temperature sterilizers, and other sterilization equipment.
Prepare instrument trays according to physician preference cards and surgical schedules.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proper sterilization and instrument functionality.
Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with operating room staff and other departments to support surgical services.
Maintain inventory and assist with stocking sterile supplies.
