Live-In Caregiver

Visiting Angels in Maryland and Washington DC, is seeking compassionate, dedicated Live-In Caregivers, as well as Live-Out Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of those in your care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
• Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially related to dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care needs
• Support residents with social engagement activities and promote mental stimulation in accordance with personalized care plans
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning living spaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and support teams to coordinate ongoing care strategies

Experience

Maryland CNA License or DC HHA License is preferred.

Candidates should demonstrate prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings.

Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer’s is highly valued.

Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication management, and vital signs measurement is essential.

Certification in CPR and First Aid is required

We are also looking for bilingual Spanish speaking Caregivers who are flexible to do either Live-In or Live-Out.
