Finance Accounting Consultant

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support financial reporting, general ledger management, month-end close activities, and regulatory reporting within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in US GAAP, financial analysis, reconciliations, and internal/external reporting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure financial data accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, regulatory reports, and management reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc financial reports for stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Stay current with accounting standards and industry regulations.
• Assist with finance system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support finance operations and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• ** Pay Range- $60.00-$63.00/hour
