Our client, a leader in financial services & banking, is hiring a Software Engineer II (.NET Developer) to join their team in Des Moines, IA!
**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**
As a .NET Developer, you will support enterprise mortgage and asset management applications within the Home Lending Servicing Technology organization. You will work closely with Agile development teams to build and enhance scalable web applications and backend services using modern Microsoft technologies including .NET Core, Azure, and SQL Server.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and services using C# and .NET Core
- Build and support RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures
- Develop scalable cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore Agile Scrum teams
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across critical business applications
- Optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and application performance
- Contribute to application modernization and cloud migration initiatives
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Strong experience with C# and .NET Core
- SQL Server experience including query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Agile/Scrum development experience
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience
- Angular or React exposure
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar monitoring tools
- PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) experience
- Unit testing and automated testing framework experience
