Salary: $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR‑22, Step D to I)

Duties Summary

The Medical Technologist IV provides medical technology services in a hospital or laboratory setting under the direction of a physician or medical director. Responsibilities include establishing procedures, maintaining a laboratory unit, performing laboratory tests, and assisting in the general operation of a large laboratory. The role may involve performing the most advanced and specialized tests in one or more fields of medical technology.

Qualification Requirements

• Current Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the Department of Health, State of Hawaii.
• Hawaii does not have reciprocity with other jurisdictions; the license must be issued by the State of Hawaii at the time of application.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional medical technologist experience involving a variety of laboratory procedures and tests on body fluids, tissues, and other materials.
• At least one (1) year of experience must be comparable to the next lower level.
• Relevant substitutions are allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
