Make a meaningful difference supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a vibrant, urban school district near San Francisco, CA. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in an itinerant, districtwide roleserving early childhood through transition-aged learners, primarily through consultative support to educational teams. Engage with a diverse range of schools, most clustered in the citys Richmond area, as part of a multi-faceted initiative for inclusive education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current DHH teaching credential and active CTC
  • Experience supporting students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, ideally in a consultative and itinerant capacity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, administrators, and families to support student access and success
  • Strong organizational skills for managing a varied caseload across sites
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to inclusive practices
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative and direct services for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing from early childhood through transition grades
  • Work collaboratively across multiple school sites within the district, delivering expertise in accessible instruction and accommodations
  • Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Offer expert guidance and hands-on strategies to general education teachers and support staff to foster a barrier-free learning environment
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation required for student services and compliance
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and district-driven professional development
