Full-Time Caregiver

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and professional care to seniors in their homes
• Assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, companionship, meal preparation, and daily routines
• Support clients with dementia and end-of-life care
• Facilitate smooth onboarding for new clients, enhancing their care experience
• Provide immediate coverage for urgent or last-minute shifts to maintain continuous care
• Review care plans and visit notes to thoroughly understand each client’s needs
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, office staff, and fellow caregivers
• Guide and support other caregivers as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience (non-family), or possession of a current CNA, HHA, LPN, or RN credential
• Experience in personal care, mobility assistance, dementia care, and end-of-life support
• A calm, confident, and professional demeanor in challenging care situations
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, families, and other staff
• Comfort in mentoring and guiding fellow caregivers as necessary
• Proficient in using technology for scheduling and documentation
• Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills

Work Schedule and Requirements

• Availability for 60 hours per week to ensure a guaranteed 40 hours of full-time work
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 60 minutes to client homes
• Ability to work in various environments including houses, apartments, senior communities, and homes with pets or smokers
• Preparedness to accept shifts on short notice
• Capacity to meet the physical demands of the role, including assisting with mobility and personal care
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and necessary assessments

Compensation and Benefits

• $20.00-$22.00/hr, based on experience
• $800-$880/week before taxes for 40-hour workweeks
• Weekly pay and overtime eligibility

Service Area

This role supports clients in their homes across the Northeast Florida region, including Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palm Coast, and surrounding communities. Due to the geographical spread, reliable transport and flexibility are essential for this position.
