Role and Responsibilities:

As a Barista Clerk and Cross-Functional Representative, you will provide outstanding customer service while supporting various departments. Your role involves maintaining product presentation, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple areas.

• Deliver excellent customer care by responding to queries, assisting with product choices, and using upselling techniques to drive department revenue.
• Work across bakery, floral, deli, dairy, fresh produce, seafood, beauty, and general merchandise departments.
• Perform duties such as restocking, rotating inventory, replenishing merchandise, packaging items, labeling, pricing products, and setting up displays.
• Create and maintain visually appealing presentations while ensuring inventory accuracy through proper receiving and organization of merchandise.
• Safely operate equipment and follow cleanliness and sanitation protocols in all work areas.
• Adhere to store and department SOPs, policies, and food safety regulations.
• Support checking duties as needed and assist with cross-functional responsibilities.
• Adapt to flexible schedules to meet departmental and store needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum age 18 and completion of high school or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of company orientation program and safety training.
• Proficient in customer service and relationship management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and coordinate multiple projects across departments.
• Familiarity with Symbol scanners, ACR, and label machines is beneficial.
• Physical capability to lift weights over 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in H-E-B store operations for six months or more is preferred.
