Job Overview

Prestige Home Care Services of Miami Dade is seeking a compassionate and reliable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled home health services to patients in their homes throughout North Miami, North Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Aventura, and Biscayne Gardens.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

This position offers a flexible schedule and competitive per-visit compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility improvement.
  • Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Reinforce patient and caregiver education regarding home exercise programs and safety measures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, patients, caregivers, and agency staff.
  • Participate in care coordination and case conferences as required.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, HIPAA, and agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant License in good standing.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Home Health experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following the supervising therapist's plan of care.
