Job Summary:
Diversified Systems in Knightdale, NC is seeking experienced Security System Technicians to join our team. This role focuses on the installation, service, testing, and maintenance of electronic security systems at various locations across the United States, with most work initially in North and South Carolina.
Technicians will begin by supporting branch system refresh projects and will receive training on company standards and procedures. As skills develop, employees may become eligible for expanded responsibilities, specialized projects, and additional advancement opportunities.
Travel will be required - primarily local at first, with the potential for out‑of‑state assignments based on business needs. The ideal candidate has a strong low-voltage background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies efficiently.

Network Video Recorders: Verint, Milestone

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, service, test, and maintain electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion, and video surveillance.
Interpret blueprints and update as‑built documentation as needed.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and materials are properly prepared and staged for installation work.
Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams, contractors, and client personnel.
Follow established procedures to ensure safe and authorized entry to all customer sites.
Troubleshoot system issues accurately and efficiently.
Adhere to company, client, and industry standards for quality and compliance.
Travel as required for project assignments.
Required Skills Qualifications
3–4 years of experience in the low-voltage industry with demonstrated proficiency in electronic security systems.
Hands-on experience programming , configuring, and troubleshooting access control systems and panels (e.g., DMP, Lenel, Genetec, Software House, AMAG, or similar).
Strong ability to learn new systems and technologies.
Excellent time management, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field‑based environment.
Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Ability to travel as required for project and service work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with access control, intrusion, or video surveillance systems listed above.
Technical training or certifications related to low‑voltage, security systems, or electronics.
Experience with corporate, commercial, or multi‑site environments.
This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
