Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions; deliver memory care and hospice support as needed
- Help with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition; assist with laundry and light cleaning to maintain a safe environment
- Follow all home health regulations and HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills with an eye for detail in monitoring health status
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and medical documentation practices
- Compassionate caregiving approach tailored to geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams while maintaining patient dignity
