The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join their accounting team on a part time basis (15 hours per week). The Sr. Accountant will play a critical role in month end close, journal entries, and serving as backup support for the accounting team. Part time schedule: approximately 15 hours per week Hybrid work model based in Tukwila Competitive compensation (prorated) Award winning organizational culture Strong leadership, stability, and meaningful impact Key Responsibilities Perform and support the month end close process Prepare, review, and post journal entries (JE) Complete account reconciliations and research variances Serve as backup support for the accounting team to ensure continuity Support audits and special accounting projects as needed Partner cross functionally to maintain financial accuracy Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong month end close and journal entry experience Ability to act as backup for team members and step in as needed Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills Effective communicator who works well in a mission focused setting Experience in a nonprofit or mission driven organization is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
