Lead Shipping Clerk

✈️ Lead Shipping Clerk l Opa-Locka, Miami

Role Overview:

• Lead daily shipping operations in a production/MRO environment
• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely shipment of parts, modules, and engines
• Provide hands-on leadership to shipping staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee packing, labelling, and outbound shipping activities
• Prepare and verify shipping/export documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, compliance paperwork)
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Materials, and Customer teams to meet shipment schedules
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and export control requirements
• Maintain accurate shipment records in ERP systems
• Arrange carrier pickups and manage freight forwarders/logistics partners
• Train and support shipping team members
• Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage prevention, and compliance
• Support inventory control and material movement
• Identify and drive process improvements

Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years in shipping, receiving, or logistics (aviation/MRO preferred)
• Knowledge of regulatory/export-controlled shipping preferred
• ERP system experience (or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to lead or support a small team in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of packaging for high-value or sensitive parts

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move throughout the day
• Lift up to 35–50 lbs (team lift for heavier items)
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment (training provided)
• Warehouse/industrial environment with frequent activity
• Ability to inspect parts and documentation for accuracy
