This role is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) within EIS and supports infrastructure, analytics, and GenAI-enabled initiatives. The IT Project Manager drives planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of IT projects, partnering closely with senior project managers, Scrum teams, and technical leads.
The role emphasizes operational execution, Agile delivery, structured project tracking, data-driven insights, and clear stakeholder communication, with hands-on involvement in enterprise infrastructure and emerging AI-enabled workflows in a fast-paced, global technology environment.
General Summary
Serves as the operational backbone for an IT infrastructure team, coordinating day-to-day work, running Agile ceremonies, and keeping cross-functional tasks moving on time. Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to team members on assigned work; communicates expectations, priorities, and status clearly to the team and stakeholders in a timely fashion. Operates effectively in a quickly changing environment, balancing recurring operational rhythms with ad-hoc requests. This role is hands-on with team operations and Agile delivery rather than focused on standalone large-program management.
The Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Working independently with little supervision on recurring team operations.
- Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the team's day-to-day delivery cadence; errors may impact team throughput, sprint commitments, or stakeholder confidence.
- Using clear written and verbal communication to coordinate across team members, peer teams, and vendors.
- Applying structured problem solving to triage incoming requests, surface blockers, and route issues to the right owner.
- Exercising judgment to refine team processes, ceremonies, and tools to improve flow and predictability.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate departmental and cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks, ensuring the right work gets to the right owner with clear expectations and timing.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to team members on assigned work; coach the team on Agile practices, ceremony hygiene, and continuous improvement.
- Run the team's Agile cadence : daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives keeping ceremonies focused, time-boxed, and outcome-oriented.
- Own backlog hygiene and work intake: capture new requests, ensure stories and tasks have clear acceptance criteria, and maintain prioritization with the team lead.
- Track team commitments and execution; surface slipping work early, follow up on open items, and help team members remove blockers.
- Maintain operational dashboards (Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent) so leadership and stakeholders can self-serve status.
- Manage standing operational rhythms: weekly team meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning inputs, and recurring stakeholder syncs.
- Coordinate vendor and contractor task assignments and onboarding/offboarding logistics on behalf of the team.
- Make sound day-to-day decisions when faced with multi-faceted issues by weighing risks, urgency, and dependencies; escalate appropriately.
- Communicate project and operational expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion; produce concise written status, risk callouts, and action-item summaries.
- Identify process friction and propose pragmatic improvements to improve flow and predictability.
