Responsibilities
- Train alongside a experienced controls engineer on overnight shifts to learn site-specific systems, standards, and best practices.

- Familiarity with automation projects and initiatives to reduce equipment downtime.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a buddy system with more experienced controls and systems technicians.
- Strong communication skills to explain issues, discuss troubleshooting steps, and coordinate with operations teams.
- Proactive mindset with an interest in learning new automation technologies and control systems.
Why Work Here?

The organization is heavily investing in automation, providing ongoing opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to modernizing systems over time. You will be part of a culture that values continuous improvement, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration across engineering and production teams.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based on the production floor, working directly with automated and semi-automated equipment. You will train on overnight shifts with a experienced controls engineer and then partner closely with a PLC programmer during day-to-day operations. The work involves hands-on electrical tasks such as running conduit, pulling and terminating wiring, and servicing motors and facility equipment.
