Custodian - 1st Shift

M-F 7am-3:30pm, $18hr

Position Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility. This position

supports daily warehouse and office operations by performing general cleaning, waste removal,

floor care, and facility upkeep. The Custodian plays a key role in maintaining a professional

appearance and ensuring a safe working environment for all associates and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize offices, breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, conference rooms, and

common areas.

Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain warehouse and office floors.

Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.

Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.

Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies, including paper products, soap, and cleaning

materials.

Maintain cleanliness of entrances, walkways, and exterior areas around the building.

Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, and pressure

washers.

Assist with facility setup and cleanup for meetings, events, and special projects.

Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to management promptly.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling and

storage of cleaning chemicals.

Assist with snow removal, salting, and weather-related facility needs as required.

Support warehouse housekeeping initiatives and 5S standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.

Preferred

Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment.

Experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, or other custodial equipment.

Basic maintenance knowledge.
