CNC Machinist job at SMV Recruiting. East Syracuse, NY. SMV Recruiting is looking for a CNC Machinist for our manufacturing client in Syracuse, NY. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment including 3-axis vertical and horizontal Matsuura Machines, Haas, Bridgeport machines, Fanuc machines and utilizing tools such as Yasnac, calipers, micrometers and gauges, etc. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits, competitive pay and an excellent company culture!

Responsibilities: • Utilize the CNC machines including 3-axis vertical and horizontal Matsuura Machines, Haas, Bridgeport machine, Fanuc machines

• Complete on average 1-5 set ups per day by reading blueprints/drawings and performing calculations
• Use Yasnac CNC programming to make precise cuts and make edits
• Change out tooling including chucks and jaws as needed
• Perform inspections on the products and ensure the correct spec and tolerances
• Keep machines running accurately, adjust the machines as needed

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years CNC Milling experience is highly preferred
• Experience working with Matsurra, Haas and Bridgeport machines is highly preferred
• Ability to use precision measuring devices/tools is required
• Must be mechanically and mathematically inclined
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings as needed
