This position is based out of our of Somerset, PA office.
Your Responsibilities as a Land Surve yor :
Perform topography, construction stakeout, as built, and control surveys using conventional and GPS survey methods
Perform aerial mapping surveys using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and have a general understanding of UAV technology
Proficient with Carlson and Trimble GPS systems
Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction drawings
Have a solid understanding of CAD/Carlson software
Document field observations and prepare daily field reports
Perform office computations for stakeout
Observe safe work practices
What we're looking for:
GED or High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
3+ years of survey experience required
Ability to work with design engineers, clients, contractors, and the general public
Ability to work well in a team environment
Experience with different surveys and survey equipment.
Able to perform manual labor, able to carry 50+ pounds of equipment, walk across varying terrain, etc.
Valid drivers license and good driving record
Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations
