About the Role

Join a tight‑knit, family‑owned machine shop where your work directly contributes to high‑precision aerospace and defense projects. As an Assembler / Shipper, you’ll build and inspect small mechanical components, support hardware installation, and help ensure finished products ship accurately and on time. If you enjoy hands‑on work, variety in your day, and being part of a team that values craftsmanship, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Precision Assembly — Assemble small, high‑accuracy components using blueprints, travelers, and detailed work instructions.
  • Hardware Installation — Install helicoils, inserts, and PEM-style hardware using torque tools and small assembly equipment.
  • Quality Inspection — Perform basic dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
  • Order Processing — Use JobBOSS to track production, update travelers, and prepare shipping documentation.
  • Shipping & Receiving — Package parts, prepare labels, process shipments, and assist with receiving as needed.
  • Cross‑Department Support — Jump in where needed to help the team meet deadlines and maintain smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow ISO/aerospace quality standards.

What You Bring

  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or a machine shop
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
  • Experience assembling small parts with hand tools and torque tools
  • Familiarity with helicoils, inserts, and mechanical fastening
  • Basic inspection skills (calipers, micrometers, visual checks)
  • Experience with shipping/receiving in a production environment
  • Comfort working in a shop environment and shifting between tasks
  • Bonus: JobBOSS experience, aerospace/defense exposure, or precision machining experience

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Small, family‑owned shop where your work is visible and appreciated
  • Laid‑back, friendly environment — T‑shirt and jeans are the norm
  • Hands‑on, technically interesting projects for aerospace and defense customers
  • Stable company with a reputation built since 1962
  • Opportunities to grow your skill set across assembly, hardware installation, inspection, and shipping
  • Collaborative team of about 13 people who support each other and take pride in quality work
