Job Title: Electrical Control Panel Assembler
Job Description
This role involves hands-on assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, wiring harnesses, and related components used in industrial automation systems. You will build and route wiring harnesses, perform detailed panel wiring, and assemble mechanical components while following schematics, wiring diagrams, and standardized work instructions. The position suits dependable individuals with strong attention to detail and proven panel building experience who take pride in producing clean, accurate, and safe electrical panels.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical control panels, wiring harnesses, and related components used in industrial automation systems.
- Build and route wiring harnesses, including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and terminating cables.
- Connect drivers and electrical components within control panels and related assemblies (no programming required).
- Perform wiring inside control panels, junction boxes, and Dixel panels with a high level of accuracy and organization.
- Follow wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to complete assemblies correctly.
- Install and secure mechanical components such as coil pumps, heat trace elements, and enclosures.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly during electrical and mechanical assembly tasks.
- Assist in layout, mounting, and assembly of panel frames, hardware, and electrical devices.
- Perform self-checks and inspections to verify correct wiring, labeling, and clean panel layouts.
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with all facility safety policies and procedures.
- Keep the work area organized, clean, and in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leads to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience working in a control panel shop environment.
- Hands-on wiring experience, including harness building, terminations, crimping, and routing.
- Experience working with industrial controls or automation components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong manual dexterity and comfort using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly, including installation of coil pumps, heat trace elements, and enclosures.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Dependable attendance and strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with heat trace systems, Dixel systems, or similar panel build environments.
- Experience with control panel layout, mounting of hardware, and organization of internal wiring.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of wiring issues using schematics and diagrams.
- Attention to detail in labeling, routing, and securing wiring harnesses.
- Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical components in a manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
