What You'll Get to Do

As Senior Engineering Manager, you'll lead two interconnected engineering functions from a single management seat, overseeing both Design Engineering (partnering with commercial teams to translate customer requirements into fabrication-ready specs for custom extrusion orders) and Production Engineering (receiving signed contracts and designing all windows to customer specification through delivery). This is a leader-of-leaders role with broad influence over how our engineering group operates, performs, and grows.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, develop engineering staff through hands-on coaching, structured performance management, career development

Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, trust that strengthens team cohesion retention

Manage the preparation of detailed product layout drawings, bills of material, related fabrication component drawings for specific projects

Manage the Production Engineering process to maintain budgeted volumes on-time delivery

Own the overall coordination of translating customer order information into manufacturing-ready formats bills of materials, cutting information, drawings used by purchasing production

Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new revised products including establishing goals, training team members, evaluating results

Serve as a technical resource for sales project management teams

Confer with architects, sales, dealers on product installation methods to help define process project information

Work closely with manufacturing on a daily basis to resolve project-related issues maintain clear communication

Apply product process analysis methods to drive cost reduction, quality improvement, operational efficiency

Design, develop, test, cost-justify tools, machinery, equipment to support recommended manufacturing methods

Confer with management, design engineering, other staff on manufacturing capabilities new product launch considerations

Continually identify opportunities to reduce engineering revisions value-engineer projects to improve overall margins

Represent manufacturing engineering on cross-functional teams

What We Are Looking For

B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering required

5+ years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment

5+ years of experience in engineer-to-order manufacturing

3+ years in fabrication, submission applications, or design engineering

Strong organizational project planning skills, including scheduling performance metric ownership

Background in building, construction, remodel, or retrofit industries

Exposure to architectural metals, sheet metal, or structural glazing adjacent fabrication

Familiarity with CNC or production software inputs

Kaizen Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
