Position Overview
Arizona Safe Outlet is seeking a results-driven Store Manager to lead and grow our Gilbert retail location. This is not a passive retail role—we are looking for a self-starting, high-performance leader who can take ownership of the store, drive revenue, and actively build the customer base.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver and go-getter—someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do, but instead identifies opportunities, takes initiative, and executes. In addition to managing daily operations, this role requires hands-on selling and proactive outreach to generate new business.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth (Primary Focus)
- Drive store revenue through active, consultative selling of safes and security solutions
- Consistently meet and exceed sales goals by improving close rates and average sale value
- Take ownership of local business development and outreach, including:
- Connecting with clubs, associations, and organizations with members that need safes and vault doors.
- Identifying and developing B2B opportunities such as builders for vault doors and business locations that need safes.
- Follow up on leads and create new opportunities—this role requires proactive prospecting, not just walk-in sales
Store Operations
- Manage day-to-day store operations with full accountability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom
- Handle opening/closing procedures and daily operations independently
- Ensure the store is run efficiently and professionally at all times
Customer Experience
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience from first interaction through final sale
- Guide customers to the right solutions based on their specific needs
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
- Build long-term customer relationships and referrals
Inventory & Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with the Phoenix location manager
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory
- Ensure merchandising supports sales effectiveness
Team Leadership
- Manage and schedule one part-time employee
- Provide clear direction and maintain accountability for performance
- Ensure proper coverage while maintaining full-time presence in the business
Physical & Operational Work
- Assist with unloading deliveries and receiving inventory
- Move safes using pallet jacks and proper equipment
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience
- Proven ability to drive sales and deliver results
- Strong initiative and self-direction—someone who gets things done without constant oversight
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to take ownership of challenges
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job
Preferred
- Experience in big-ticket retail, specialty sales, or durable goods
- Background in safes, security products, or related industries
- Experience developing local partnerships or business relationships
Schedule
- Full-time role
- Store is open Monday–Saturday
- Manager works 5 days per week, possibly including Saturdays
- Flexibility to manage scheduling with part-time staff support
